The UP700 Circular swing-blade sawmill designed for longitudinal cutting of logs is a machine of massive construction, intended for heavy operations with three-shift use.
The swing-blade cutting mechanism, developed by StrojCAD for swing-blade sawmills, is tilted 90 degrees. This system allows cutting in both directions.
During both cuts, both forward and backward, the saw blade cuts counter clockwise without changing the direction of rotation. The diameter and type of the saw blade can be optimally selected according to the desired range of cuts, which results in a great versatility of the saw. To use all saw blade diameters (450, 500, 550, 700 and 720 mm) it is possible to equip the sawmill with a two-speed motor.
For cutting radial sawn timber, the sawmill can be equipped with a special clamping frame to maximize the timber yield of the logs with greater convergence.
Control panel with seat on the saw head
Stationary control panel
The UP700 Circular swing-blade sawmill can be supplied with a seat and control panel on the saw head or a stationary control panel in front of the machine frame.
You can also cut soft and hard wood with high surface quality up to 1 m in diameter when using a saw blade.
UP 700 Circular Swing-Blade Sawmill
- The largest tilting circular sawmill
- Max. Prism up to 24 x 24 cm
- Easy operation and maintenance, reliable operation
- Production of precision sawn timber directly from logs with just one machine
- Max. Log diameter 1 m, max. Log length 12 m
- Reliable 18.5 kW or 22 kW cast iron motors
- Possibility to use saw blades from 450 mm up to 720 mm
The automatic dimensioning allows you to quickly and accurately adjust the cut range.
The speed and accuracy of the width and thickness adjustment of the cut-out is ensured by the control unit. The automatic turning of the saw blade by means of an electric motor with a gearbox is controlled by a frequency converter.
Hydraulic control panel
Cutting cycle – forward horizontal cut, slowing and stopping of the saw at the end of the log, tilting the saw blade to the vertical position, cutting back, slowing and stopping the saw, tilting the saw blade to the horizontal position and setting the next pre-set size, also controls the control unit automatically.
Operator activity is maximally free of routine operations. The operator regulates the cutting speed and selects the cut dimensions depending on the quality of the wood, thus maximizing the efficiency of the wood mass.
HYDRAULIC LOG HANDLING
The sawmill is equipped with clamping clamps as standard. Also available as optional accessories are trunk lifters to the trimming of the residual cut-outs.
Log loader for saw frame
"V" log turner with convergence function
Vertical Lift Clamp
Slide roller for longitudinal feed of the log
However, hydraulic handling of logs (loading, clamping, turning, aligning and centring) will also help to increase yield and change performance in addition to handling.
The two-arm "V" turner does not only serve to rotate the logs, but also to centre them on the clamping frame before clamping them. The turner makes it possible to raise the thinner end of the trunk to vertically position the trunk in its optimum position and compensate its convergence, which has great impact on the timber and yield of the cut.
